Scienceworks!

One of our favorite places to hang out for the day is Scienceworks in Spotswood, it is just so much fun for the kids and cheap enough that we can go as many times as we want. We would have loved to go to the zoo or Sovereign Hill or somewhere, but for a family of 5 you're looking at around $100 just to get in! It really disappoints me that places like that are so prohibitively expensive. But places like Scienceworks and the museum are free for kids and only $8 for adults so that's where we tend to go! I love that the whole upstairs of Scienceworks is gated off, so we could just let the girls go nuts and explore with out feeling like we had to be watching every second. Very handy when they want to rush off in three different directions! And they appreciate not being hovered over, especially Indigo who likes to explore at her own pace. I didn't get many photos, it's so dark in there! But we had a great day. We brought along our own salad stuff and built salad rolls while we watched a show about flying. The remote control dragonfly kept plummeting into our heads which was a little scary actually!
